Hello and welcome!
Thanks for visiting! Let me introduce myself. My name is Michelle and I am twenty years old. I am a part-time student and I work a full-time job at a local hospital. I am a devout Catholic and I am passionate about my faith. I volunteer at my Church in the youth ministry and try to bring young lives to Christ like I was. I am a lover of animals, travel, books, and more.
So, why a blog? Well being only 20, I consider myself to be what I like to call a "fake adult." Now the fake adult is someone who legally becomes an adult (turns 18), but they still can't/don't do a lot of things that are required/allowed in adulthood. (The obvious legal examples would be drinking, gambling, etc, but I don't mean those.) What I mean is keeping a big girl (or boy) job, owning a home, cooking cleaning, checking your credit history, having a credit history, and things like that. I also don't think that there are very many resources for people that are in the same boat as me. There are plenty of homemaking blogs (beautiful blogs that offer a lot of valuable info), but they are geared to women who are already there, who have children and families. I wanted to created a blog about that road, the road to homemaking and motherhood.
Basically, I want to do exactly as the name of this blog says - I want to make myself a homemaker. I feel called to the married life (we'll talk more about that later) and I know I am not prepared for that right now. There are a lot of changes my heart has to go through to get to that point. So that's what this is - my journey to "real" adulthood, to married life, to making a home. I hope you all continue on this journey with me, but for now-
Much Love,
M
